Recovery Of Energy And Resources From Waste

material-recovery-global-afr

Reducing human impact on the environment through material recovery processing.

We are a team of experienced and highly skilled professionals who are committed to applying well-proven and reliable technologies for the recovery of energy and resources from waste that would usually go to landfill.

Our Australian company, trading as QEW Solutions, is currently developing a resource recovery park in South East Queensland, Australia. This RRP has a major sorting facility, various technologies to use its off-takes and an Energy from Waste (EfW) facility for the residual.  This EfW facility provides energy in the form of heat, cooling and electricity to both the resource recovery park and the whole site which is being constructed as an Eco-Industrial Park (EIP).

The EIP concept is described here. Within the EIP is our RRP where waste would be sorted for re-use, recycling or upcycling, where waste is transformed into new materials or products that are perceived to be of greater quality or environmental value.  The diagram below gives a picture of typical waste collection streams, the materials collected and how they can be treated in a circular economy.
