With smart technologies and sound implementation, QEW Solutions’ alternative waste treatment facilities aim to deliver social, environmental, economic and wellbeing benefits.
- Providing appropriate end-of-life waste disposal processes that maximise resource recovery
- Recovering and recycling valuable resources such as metals, plastics and glass, as well as bottom ash from the energy from waste facility. This is achieved through waste sorting and the aggregation of recycled products for appropriate processing, recycling and upcycling
- Targeting zero landfill and facility decarbonisation through capture of flue gases of processed wastes
- Potentially replacing energy generated from fossil fuels (and reducing the associated CO2 emissions) with sustainable, clean, and reliable base-load electricity, steam, hot water and opportunity for production of hydrogen or ammonia.
